Description
In this talk, I will consider extending both the SM matter and SM gauge
group with a new strong force called dark colour. These vector-like fermions charged
under dark color can condense to give a composite baryon which can be a thermal dark
matter candidate with a mass close to 100 TeV. I will focus on how such theories can
have an ultraviolet completion in unified SU(5) theories. In particular, I will talk
about how unification can be a very constraining theory prior on the parameter space
of such composite dark matter theories. Such unified theories can also result in
unusual cosmological histories and have consequences on DM phenomenology.
