Description
The observations of neutron-star properties are analyzed with respect to physical properties of neutron star matter and physical processes causing the observed phenomena. This involves generation of magnetic fields, of hot plasma regions, and particle acceleration regions near the neutron star surface, and processes at/near the surface such as nuclear explosions, and in the neutron star interior such as potential quark phases. Lecture 1: Observational Facts Lecture 2: Attempts to Understand Observations Lecture 3: Interactions of Rotational, Thermal, and Magnetic Evolutions
