Seminar Room 1.18.
Description
The cosmic evolution of abundances of isotopes and elements results from the nucleosynthesis in stars and supernovae, is effected by production of stars in galaxies and by dispersal of their ejecta in interstellar gas. This lecture series describes the basic processes of chemical evolution, places them (as detailed example) in the context of our Galaxy, and discusses observational constraints of chemical evolution from our and other galaxies.
