Description
In 2009 the decision was made to build R/C vehicles based on standard electronics. Programmed in Java and built up on Phidgets electronics, a three-wheeled vehicle named Elwood was created and tested. After completing this project a quadrocopter (RoboDrohne) is being built now. As quadrocopters are inherently instable the first task is to implement an automatic stabilization system. In this talk the challenges of building these two vehicles are presented.
