As part of the activities of the Excellence Cluster Universe, we have organized a 1-day workshop on Transitional Discs. In the various institutes of the Garching-Munich area there are several groups working on protoplanetary disks and their evolution, both from a theoretical and observational point of view. The main goal of this workshop is to share and discuss recent results on transition discs and explore possibilities of collaborations among the groups.
The format of the meeting is short talks (15+5 min.) with ample time for discussion and a special discussion session at the end of the meeting on possible collaborations in view of the ALMA Cycle 2 deadline at the beginning of December.
