"Excited-state spectroscopy of charm-quark mesons from lattice QCD"

I will review recent developments in lattice QCD methods for studying excited states in both charmonium and the open charm meson sectors. Prospects for reliable calculations of strong decay properties of these states will be described and some states of particular phenomenological interest will be discussed.
