Description

We extend parton cascade model as implemented in VNI/BMS to include production and propagation of heavy quarks in relativistic collision of nuclei. The space time description of the model provides valuable insights into the production mechanism of the heavy quarks and suggests that the gluon multiplication due to radiations from final state of the partons plays important role in their dynamics. The charm quarks are seen to lose energy due to collisions as well as radiations of gluons.

We further explore an application of the model to pp collisions at LHC energies and demonstrate that the collisions having large multiplicites at higher LHC energies have strangeness saturation and a large production of charm.
