First Meeting of the Excellence Cluster’s PhD Students

In the beginning of 2007 the Excellence Cluster officially started. Meanwhile, there are (about) 25 PhD students active within the Cluster’s seven research areas.
So it’s time to get to know each other. We would like to invite you to a two-day meeting at Chiemsee’s Kloster Frauenwörth. Meet your colleagues in a beautiful and inspiring surrounding! Present your topic to an interested audience in a relaxed atmosphere.
Learn about the PhD projects in all the other research areas: from astrophysics, particle physics to nuclear physics, experimental and theoretical.

Extra information

Although, the workshop mainly addresses the Cluster’s PhD students, other students are also welcome. However, as there are only limited capacities, Excellence Cluster students will be preferred. Additionally, as a Cluster student, you will receive financial support, which will cover parts of the total fee. Nevertheless, accomodation is affordable for everyone (<40Euro/night).

There will be a bus transfer from Munich to the ferry at Chiemsee and return.

We kindly ask EVERY participant to apply for a presentation in order to get a broad overview of all research areas. Talks will be 10-20 minutes long - depending on the number of participants.
