Description
The neutral resonance discovered in 2012 by the ATLAS and CMS experiments at the LHC appears to closely resemble the long sought (Standard Model) Higgs boson. This conclusion is based on accurate theoretical predictions for the various Higgs boson signatures, and on appropriate tools to characterize the features of the signal events. We review the status of theoretical predictions for Higgs boson production at hadron colliders, we discuss the corresponding uncertainties and comment on the frameworks to sharpen or disprove the Standard Model picture.
