Description
It is well known that the emission of low momentum (“soft”) gauge bosons leads to divergences in quantum field theory. These in turn create large contributions in perturbation theory, that need to be summed up to all orders in the coupling for a sensible comparison with data. In this talk, I will review a recently developed approach for classifying these effects, in terms of special Feynman diagrams called "multiparton webs". These diagrams occur in the exponents of scattering amplitudes, leading to tantalising insights into the all-order structure of perturbation theory. I will then present progress towards calculating these diagrams at three-loop order, and beyond.
