Fruits series: Where can CP violation possibly come from?

Mu-Chun will discuss the origin of CP violation in settings with a discrete (flavor) symmetry. In particular, she will show that certain discrete symmetries clash with CP in the sense that, in generic settings with such symmetries, one cannot consistently define a proper CP transformation. For such discrete symmetries, CP violation can be purely group theoretical, leading to physical effects such as particle decay asymmetry. The audience is cordially invited to discuss and comment.
