A first glance towards a dispersive formalism for the gamma* gamma* to pi pi process

The scattering process gamma* gamma* to pi pi is very challenging from both experimental and theoretical points of view due to the presence of virtual photons. A complete calculation demands knowledge on many subtleties of the process. In this talk, we will review them within a dispersive formalism and we will attempt to provide a first glance towards it taking advantage of the well-known scattering process when the photons are real (gamma gamma to pi pi).
