Summary

I present preliminary results on the first systematic study of possible connections
between rare B decays and B lifetime differences, which can arise when
there are BSM effects in the b->c cbar s partonic transitions.
I will also discuss the excellent sensitivity to right-handed currents
one has in rare B decays, and the potential for fruitful LHCb-Belle2
interplay.
