Description
The discovery of high energy extraterrestrial neutrinos by IceCube has opened a new era for the neutrino astronomy. Their observations are compatible with cosmic neutrinos undergoing three flavor oscillations and the topologies of the events have been used to probe ordinary and exotic physics. However many important questions are still unresolved: what is the source and the mechanism of production of high energy neutrinos? Are the neutrinos extragalactic or there is also a galactic population? Andrea will present the status. The audience is cordially invited to discuss and comment. During this 30-minutes lunch event, we will serve drinks and fingerfood.
