I present the effective theory of an extensive class of hidden sectors in which supersymmetry is broken at low energy together with an approximate R-symmetry. The light spectrum contains the gravitino together with the pseudo-Goldstone boson of the approximate R-symmetry, the R-axion. For a TeV scale decay constant I will explore the collider phenomenology of the R-axion showing wide region of the parameter space where new search strategies are necessary to get a better sensitivity. For higher decay constant I will comment on the consequences of the R-axion on the SUSY cosmology.
