Abstract: 

"flavio" is an open source Python package for flavour physics phenomenology in the Standard Model and beyond. It can be used to compute predictions for a vast array of observables in flavour physics, both in the Standard Model and in the presence of new physics parametrized as Wilson coefficients of dimension-6 operators. It contains routines for statistical inference and visualization that allow to fit parameters and Wilson coefficients to experimental data and produce publication-ready plots.

This tutorial by the main developer of flavio will present the main features and discuss example use cases of the code. Particpants can bring their laptops and experiment with the package.

Participants who wish to install the code on their computer should have Python 3.5 or above installed. Installation instructions can be found on the Indico page:

Alternatively, the code examples can be run in a web browser even without installation. Participation without computer is welcome, too.
