The phenomenology of strong interaction reveals a rich
spectrum of excited states, many of which couple dominantly to
e.g. 2 or 3 asymptotically stable states, manifesting themselves in
analytic properties of the corresponding S-Matrix.
In this talk, I will present how unitarity and connectedness structure
of matrix elements can be used as guiding principles for the construction
of 2- and 3-body scattering amplitudes. Furthermore, it will be shown, how
a parameterization of the latter in terms of the isobars leads to a simple form
of the 3-body quantization condition for the analysis of the Lattice QCD results.
These theoretical results will be related to specific examples interconnecting
contemporary experimental and Lattice QCD results, such as:
*Insights into properties of the f0(500) driven by recent Lattice QCD results;
*New puzzles in Kbar-N-scattering, related to the Lambda(1405) and Sigma(1385) resonances;
*Ongoing investigations of a1(1260), a1(1420), etc. channels."
