Without doctoral students, most of the research done at our institute would not be achieved. Therefore it is hard to overstate the importance of an attractive doctoral program. The Max Planck International Research School (IMPRS) on Elementary Particle Physics has run successfully from 2005 to 2019, but has now ended. I will present a vision of a new IMPRS, to start in 2020. Several challenges and opportunities lie ahead. Mastering them will require broad support from staff and researchers alike. I will mention possibilities to contribute to making the new IMPRS successful.
