Title: Releasing Experimental Results in Particle Physics
Abstract: Results from particle physics experiments come from the combination of experimental data together with their interpretation under a set of assumptions. We discuss the impact of releasing the full models utilised to derive the results, with a particular emphasis on data combination and recast in direct dark matter searches. The release of the likelihood functions is a first step to allow the reproduction of results and it contains the full information about experimental systematics and theoretical uncertainties. The likelihood alone does not permit the recast of the interpretation of experimental data though, and the release of the data and the full statistical model is therefore mandatory to maximise the impact and utilisation of data from measurements.
As usual, the format will be a short presentation followed by plenty of discussion.
