Description

The study of the soft emissions in field theories is an interdisciplinary area, where similar techniques can be applied in a  variety of different contexts. Over the last decade, considerable attention has been devoted to the extension of the strict soft limit to subleading powers. Thanks to these recent developments, new methods have become available for precise computations in gauge theories and gravity. In this talk I will concentrate on three phenomenological applications of these techniques: the subleading resummation of perturbative cross-sections due to soft gluon emissions, the effect of power corrections to the soft photon bremsstrahlung and the scattering of black holes mediated by soft gravitons.
