The ORIGINS RU-D Science Day is a one-day in-person workshop bringing together scientists from across the Munich area who work on the implications of cosmic evolution for habitability across various scales. The event aims to create an opportunity for researchers at all career stages to exchange ideas, learn about each other's work and encourage collaborations that extend beyond the event itself.

The event will focus on the central research questions of research unit D:

  • Which physical processes set the cascade of scales for the formation of galaxies, stars and planets?
  • How is cosmic material processed across scales in different astrophysical environments?
  • How does feedback and its chemo-energetic imprint set and enrich the turbulent material at all scales?
  • How can we observationally constrain the physical processes on different scales?
  • How do we create a synthetic Universe to compare predictions to observations?

Whether you work directly on these topics or in related fields, we warmly invite you to join us for a day of scientific exchange.
