Overview
This Les Houches – WE-Heraeus workshop will unite global communities developing novel path integration techniques for application in quantum mechanics and field theory. It explores emerging connections between the worldline formalism of QFT and gravity; resummation / non-perturbative QFT in strong backgrounds; path integral geometry and fields on curved space, super field space and topologically non-trivial manifolds; and recently developed path integral representations of wavefunctions, amplitudes and gravitational waveforms.
Format
This 11 day workshop will include invited and contributed presentations, 2 poster sessions and extended round-table and collaborative discussions in order to facilitate cross-disciplinary interactions. Each of the five topics will be introduced through a dedicated "Review Talk" which will provide an overview of that area and outline the main challenges and routes to meet them.
Accommodation, subsistence and refreshments will be provided.
Organising Committee
The organisers of this Les Houches – WE-Heraeus workshop are
-
Naser Ahmadiniaz (HZDR)
-
Viola Gattus (TUM)
-
James P. Edwards (Plymouth)
Funding
We are generously supported by the Wilhelm und Else Heraeus-Stiftung. With their support we are able to offer a reduced registration fee and targeted travel support for ECRs or researchers from traditionally under-represented backgrounds who would not otherwise be able to attend.
We are grateful to TUM for hosting this Indico website on their server.
