Subway between Munich and Garching
The location of the conference site is on the Science Campus Garching (Garching Forschungszentrum). Subway ("U-Bahn") U6 connects directly to the center of Munich. For the timetable, please look at the link in the Transportation section of the Conference web page. Timetables can also be found at http://mvv-muenchen.de/en/home/index.html. Please bear in mind that the trip from Munich city center to Garching requires approximately 25/30 minutes.
To travel between Garching and Munich you have to buy a daily ticket called "Single Tageskarte München XXL" (7,00 €) which will allow you unlimited trips and is cheaper than two one-way tickets.
For people staying in Garching
If you are staying in one of the hotels in Garching and do not intend to visit the city of Munich that day, but just want to travel from Garching to Garching-Forschungszentrum and back, the cheapest option is to buy a one-way ticket called "Kurzstrecke" (1,20 €) for each trip. Be aware that to reach the place of the conference dinner a "Single Tageskarte München XXL" (7,00 €) is necessary.
Venue of the meeting
The meeting room (IPP Lecture Theatre) is on the campus site of the Max-Planck Society (MPG). The entrance is next to the southern exit of the subway U6 station (follow the IPP/Cluster universe indications). For a map, please visit the rtansportation section.
IMPORTANT: At the entrance of the MPG site you have to say to the guards that you are a participant in the Euroflavour conference and have your ID with you.
Registration
Registration is between 8:00 and 8:30 am on Wednesday September 8, in front of the meeting room.
For later registration, please contact any of the workshop secretaries during the coffee breaks.
We can only accept cash. We kindly ask you to bring the exact cash sum, 160 Euro.
For people who registered via bank transfer
It is mandatory to bring the receipt of the bank transfer at the registration desk.
Wireless
There will be wifi access in the lecture hall without any restrictions/passwords. The network name is "D2Gast".
For speakers/chairpersons
Please check the program online for the time of your talk and to see whether you have to chair a session.
We would like to get copies of all talks, if possible ahead of time. If you give your talk as a .pdf file, we can then move it directly to the conference laptop, preventing delays and technical problems. If you are using another format and animation is not essential
to your presentation consider outputting it as a .pdf file.
In any case, please send a copy of your talk at the earliest possible convenience. The best way is to attach it to an email to jacopo.ghiglieri@ph.tum.de, or upload it somewhere and send the URL to that address, especially if the file size exceeds 5 MB. We especially ask the speakers of the first day, Wednesday the 8th, to send us their presentation by Tuesday the 7th. Speakers of the following days can also give their talks with USB sticks during the conference, even though email remains the favored way. All the slides will be uploaded on the conference website.
Social dinner for vegetarians
We kindly ask people who do not like meat to send an email until September 6.

Bulletin n.1
EuroFlavour 2010, fifth and last annual workshop of the European Flavour Physics Network FLAVIAnet , is organized by the Physics Department of the Technical University of Munich. It will take place from 8 to 10 September 2010 at the lecture hall of the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics (IPP), located in the Garching campus. Garching is located approximately 20 km north of the city center of Munich and can be easily reached with the subway line U6. The journey from the city center to the campus takes approximately 25 minutes. Detailed instructions on how to reach the venue, along with a map of the campus, can be found in the Transportation section of this website.
Accommodation
Participants can book their own accommodation choosing in a list of recommended hotels, either in the city of Munich or in the town of Garching.
Registration and Talks
Registration start date will be March 22th, 2010, with deadline July 1th. Early registration is appreciated, particularly if you wish to be considered to give a talk; in that case, please complete the registration form indicating the title of your talk, and for which Working Group the topic of talk is most relevant. A poster session will be organized to encourage young participants to bring a poster.
Schedule
The workshop will start in the morning of September 8th and will end in the evening of September 10th. There will be a Conference dinner on Thursday 9th. Lunches will take place at the IPP canteen, located in close proximity of the venue. The average cost of a lunch is around 5 euros.
Fee
The fee of the workshop is 150 euro if payed before July 1st through bank transfer, or 160 euro if payed cash at the workshop. This will cover the coffee breaks and the social dinner. For accompanying persons the cost of the social dinner is 50 euros, to be paid at the workshop secretariat.
