The NuPECC Meeting will be held on the Blindern Campus of the University of Oslo, which is located not far from the city center and easily reached by public transport:
Airport to Hotel (Thon Hotel Munch):
Option 1:
- take the Airport Express Train (Flytoget) to the Central Station (Oslo S)
- change to the Metro (T-Bane)
- take any west-bound line, one stop to Stortinget
- walk 450 m (map)
Option 2:
- take the Airport Express Train to Nationalteateret
- walk 850 m (map)
Hotel to Blindern Campus
Option 1:
- walk to Stortinget Station (T-Bane)
- Line 4 (Vestli) or 5 (Ringen or Sognsvann) to Blindern Station
Option 2:
- walk to Prof. Aschehougs plass
- Tram 17 of 18 (Rikshospitalet) to Universitetet Blindern
Travel by taxi:
As the airport is located 55km from the city, taking a taxi from the airport is slow and rather expensive. A metered taxi fare from the airport to the city is around 2000 NOK, more than 200 EUR, with variations depending on the time of day and trafic. If you still prefer to take a taxi, go to the information stand in the arrivals hall and ask them to call a taxi with fixed airport price for you. Depending on the company, time of day, and number of passengers, this will vary between 700 and 1200 NOK.
