Description
This document gives input on key scientific areas for the NuPECC Long Range Plan (LRP) 2024 from the ISOLDE Collaboration, as represented by the ISOLDE Collaboration Committee.
Since this is a wide scientific community based around a specific facility, this is best done within the context of the operating status and technical opportunities for the facility. The very broad scientific reach of the facility means that the discussion given here is quite high level. However, collaborations in specific project areas have been encouraged to submit their own input with more detailed information. Omissions of science topics in this document that are raised by these other submissions should not be treated seriously, given the page limitations on submissions.
The document summarises the status of the facility; examples of some of the on-going areas of science that continue to be important during the LRP period; examples of new areas of science that are expected emerge during the LRP; and technical opportunities in the medium and long term.
