Description
Nuclear theory has witnessed a revolution over the last two decades or so with the development of low-energy effective field theories (EFTs) of QCD and initio methods (AIMs) for the solution of the many-body Schroedinger equation. We plan to improve the EFT expansion by including the proximity of nuclear systems to two-body unitarity, test its consequences in few- and many-body systems with AIMs, and make connections to cold-atom physics.
