Hadron Interaction

Description

Obtaining a comprehensive picture of the strong force has been a long-standing problem. A complete understanding of the strong interaction can be obtained when a unified picture demanded by SU3 symmetry is obtained. Over the past decades there has been a significant effort in studying hadron interactions, with a plethora of experimental constraints obtained primarily from nucleon scattering experiments.
Studies of how the strange partners of the nucleons, hyperons, interact have been very scarce due to difficulties associated with performing high-precision scattering experiments with short-lived hyperon beams. Future high-precision experiments with hyperons are essential for a deeper understanding of the neutron stars' composition, ''strange matter" investigations and hypernuclear structure research. More importantly, these studies will allow us to obtain a more complete picture of baryon interactions, including the strangeness degree of freedom.
Here we summarise future prospects for studies involving hadron interactions, with a focus on Short Range Correlations, hyperon nucleon interaction, and dibaryons.
