Description
This document has been prepared by the representatives of the two major INFN initiatives related to the Electron Ion Collider, as input to the discussion on the next NuPECC Long Range Plan 2024. The activities and interests of this large community (more than 100 researchers) are described, including the foreseen contribution to the EIC science and R&D program. The synergies between these activities and Nuclear Physics in Europe are discussed, followed by a small set of suggested specific recommendations.
