Since the workshop features no registration fee, and since lunches and coffee breaks are covered, participants main expenses will be travel to and from the venue, as well as accommodation. Below we provide some suggestions on options for doing so.
Travel
The venue is located in Garching bei Munchen, a town north of Munich and is near to the international airport (MUC). From the airport, you can reach the venue in 20 minutes by taxi (~40 EUR) or in around 45 minutes by public transport (~10 EUR). If you are arriving in Munich via train, you can get to the venue from Munich Central Station via metro U6 in ~30 minutes.

The Garching Campus hosts two hotels, located just a few hundred meters from the workshop venue:
Bear in mind that the campus offers very little in terms of night life; for dinner, the only restaurant on campus is THE FACULTY , the restaurant in Courtyard by Mariott (open for everyone). However, just a single metro (U6) stop from campus is Garching City where you'll find a wider selection of restaurants. There is regular metro service along the U6 up until 01.00 AM.

In Munich City Center:
The city center of Munich has a wealth of different hotel options that you might consider too. From the central station, you can reach the venue by metro (U6) in 30 minutes.
