A 1-day workshop will bring together local experts in the field of galactic winds to discuss the latest advancements in understanding the role of outflows in galaxy formation and evolution. Topics will include the mechanisms driving galactic winds, their interaction with the circumgalactic medium, and their impact on star formation, chemical enrichment, and large-scale structures.
The event aims to foster collaboration and stimulate discussions on pressing questions in the field, focusing on observational, theoretical, and simulation-based approaches. By providing a platform for cross-disciplinary exchange, the workshop seeks to identify key challenges and outline future directions for the study of galactic feedback processes.
Participants will have the opportunity to present their work in focused talks and engage in structured discussions to facilitate a productive and dynamic exchange of ideas.
Goals:
• Exchange insights on the latest research related to galactic winds and feedback mechanisms.
• Promote collaboration between observational and theoretical communities within Munich.
• Define critical challenges and future opportunities in the study of galactic outflows.
• Develop a roadmap for advancing the understanding of their role in galaxy evolution.
