Description
We develop a Non-Relativistic Effective Field theory approach for heavy quarkonium at finite temperature. Such a framework is based on the T=0 one of NRQCD and pNRQCD. Within this approach we calculate the heavy quarkonium energy levels and decay widths in a quark- gluon plasma whose temperature is much smaller than the inverse radius of the bound state. This is achieved by subsequently integrating out the scales that characterize the system, creating a series of EFTs.
Relevance for the phenomenology of heavy ion collisions is also discussed.
