Hygiene measures

Negative COVID test encouraged for participation

To ensure safety for you and your fellow PhD students, we ask you to provide a negative COVID test before the departure. The test should be performed by a medical professional a on Saturday 29 May, or Sunday 30 May before leaving to Castle Ringberg. You can make use of the plentiful testing sites in and around Munich. You will receive a form that certifies that you were tested negative for COVID.  An "Antigen Schnelltest" usually takes around 10 minutes, at maximum 30 minutes, including waiting time.

Call to reduce contacts before the workshop

Despite the aforementioned requirement of a negative test, we still ask you to reduce contacts at least one week before the workshop. This might be difficult depending on your living circumstances, but we still ask you to make an effort of it. This only helps ensuring your participation and the health of the other students.

Hygiene concept

During the workshop we will follow the hygiene concept of Castle Ringberg. Here you can see some of their efforts to provide a safe environment. We also encourage persistent wearing of masks and regularly disinfecting. We're also exploring the possibility of holding talks outside on the terrace of the castle, as well as providing self-tests during the workshop.
