The aim of the workshop is to foster interpreting the experimental data on three-body hadron resonances collected recently by experiments and obtained in lattice calculations by bringing together researchers across the world working in the field of hadron spectroscopy.

Precision measurements on the three-pion interaction including the $a_1(1260)$, $\pi_1(1600)$, and $\pi(1800)$ resonances were published by the COMPASS collaboration. Its interpretation calls for an advanced theoretical approach addressing the final-state interaction.

Complimentary, studies of the interaction amplitude are required in the heavy flavor sector to move forward with understanding the nature of the exotic candidates. Double-charm tetraquark, $T_{cc}^+$ recently discovered by LHCb decays dominantly to a system of three particles where mutual interaction plays an essential role. Further amplitude analysis of this exotic state and understanding of its fundamental properties demand a combined effort of the theory and experiment.

In addition, the first-discovered exotic charmonium $\chi_{c1}(3872)$ remains the subject of heated scientific debates. A real one-particle exchange the essential component to the three-body dynamics might play an important role in the inner dynamic of the state.

Information for in-person participants

 - The latest update (15.12) on COVID regulations in Munich is here: vaccinated/recovered certificate, FFP2 masks, and digital form + quarantine for traveling from high-risk (virus variant) areas.

 - The workshop is held in the MIAPP building located in the Garching research area. It is reached from the Munich downtown by the U6 line, the last station to the North. Daily ticket (tageskarte) for zones M,1,2 (prise: 10.1EUR for 1 person to 17.9EUR for a group <6) is the optimal solution for two commits.

  - MIAPP is located in the fenced area. A valid ID needs to be shown to the guard at the entrance.

 - According to the 2G+ regulation (vaccinated or recovered, plus tested) a valid test must be presented to a responsible daily. A free testing facility is located on the campus (webpage).  Also, a number of self-tests will be available.

 - Some funds to cover expenses are available for participants who can come in person. Originals of the hotel bills, travel tickets, and the claim form need to be handed to MIAPP secretaries.
